The One And Only Miles Metric

This weekend we received the dreadful news of Miles Metric's passing. He was a great friend and touched the hearts and souls of so many across dancefloors. His infectious energy and passion for dance music and club culture was so clear every time he stepped on to the decks.

I was lucky enough to see Miles play in some amazing partys over the years. Wether it was at the world famous Glastonbury festival or in the back of a Pie shop in West London you always knew it was Miles up on the stage.

The thing i loved about Miles as a DJ was he never stuck to the one style, never afraid to go from drum and bass to disco. A sucker for a mash up his sets were never boring and neither was he.

If it wasn't for Miles i wouldn't be where i am today. He gave me the opportunity to play some of my first proper gigs. We both covered for each other for a year when one another couldn't attend a gig and by doing this i learned so much on how to be versatile as dj. Forever thankful for not only this but so much you taught me. I always keep an emergency set of tunes on a dropbox file to be accessed anywhere just incase!

Along with so many others we are heart broken my thoughts go out to your friends and family in this tough time.

To honour Miles we would love for his latest release to reach the number 1 spot on Beatport. But to make this happen we need everyone to grab a copy of his EP (link below).
